Guaranteed RAM
What exactly is the actual difference between the Internet hosting industry-related phrases ?regular RAM? and ?guaranteed RAM??
RAM is an abbreviation for Random Access Memory. This is a type of computer memory, that, in contrast to other storage devices including harddrives or DVDs, permits the information to be accessed directly without reading the previous content stored within it. Anytime an application is launched, it is stored inside the RAM, as it can be accessed much quicker than if it was read from another media device. With regard to the hosting service itself, extra RAM means that more web applications can operate at the same time on a certain hosting server, especially if they are resource-demanding and are accessed by a large number of people all at once. Different from a shared web hosting plan where the system resources of a given account can be flexible and often depend on what other users consume also, a VPS includes a guaranteed amount of RAM that can be used at all times. That memory is allocated to one web server only and won't be used by other customers even in case it's not in use.

Guaranteed RAM in VPS Servers
If you get a
VPS server from us, you'll have a set amount of RAM at your disposal always. We create the VPS accounts on powerful hardware nodes with no shortage of physical memory, so once a new virtual server is set up, the RAM is assigned completely to it as per the exact features of the specific package deal. We never re-allocate RAM from a VPS which doesn't use all of its system resources to one which requires more resources, so you will be able to use the characteristics of your package deal at their full potential at any time. We set up just a few VPS accounts on a physical server and we make sure that it includes sufficient memory to enable all the customers on it to upgrade the RAM their machines are using without affecting the other accounts.

Guaranteed RAM in Dedicated Servers
All of our
dedicated server plans come with a massive amount of physical memory, that will enable you to run incredibly heavy web applications with no difficulties. We use new and meticulously tested hardware components when we build a new hosting server to make certain that there won't be any problems of any kind. The RAM memory is not an exception and when you purchase a dedicated server, we shall make sure that you get the best overall performance possible from the configuration that you have chosen. Even if we notice that you are not using the entire capacity of the server, we won't modify the hardware in any way, so the amount of RAM that will be available shall always be the same. You can easily check the configuration, including the physical memory, inside your billing CP at any time.
